Business Consulting

Having a great idea starts most businesses.  When you think about it, we can generate scads of really great ideas, no brainers, sure things.  Once the great idea goes past the first step, the initial hyped up thrill of “I know this can work!” the real challenge starts.  It’s at this point that people usually contact us, to help them get to the “Wow, this is really working,” phase.

We take the great idea, analyze it, ask lots of questions, discuss all the components of success with our clients, and listen, listen, listen.  We listen because we need to know the client’s style well so we can offer ideas that might work for them.

The Smorgasbord

Our job is not to tell people what we think will work but to keep the focus on the components of a business that must be addressed.  For example, if marketing needs atention and the person with the great idea isn’t a natural at marketing then our part is to offer a rich range of ideas, resources, strategies so the client has choices, and leaves each session with a plan for implementing the next ones on their favorites list.  We call it the smorgasbord – like a buffet – choose what you like, what looks good today.  Try something new, that you aren’t sure about.

Our Resources

At our offices we have an extensive library of marketing resources to use during sessions and for clients to check out and digest between sessions.  Yes, we have read them all, numerous times. We still market – this part of our business never ends.

Parts of the Whole

Where does a business start?  Right.  With a brilliant, juicy idea.  The entrepreneur doesn’t always like, or know how to do, the other more mundane parts of the business.  This is the reason that 80% of all small businesses fail in the first five years and 80% of the ones that survived will fail in the second five years. Sounds like the odds are against success.  Not so.  It isn’t luck. It’s skill. Skills are learned.  It’s not magic. Thank goodness!  That means if a client devours the skills and uses them well, they will be one of the survivors.

Why Small Business

Independence, independence, independence.  And a creative outlet.  When clients use what we have to offer they also get to make money!

Cost

We arrange the cost, sessions, payments any way that works for both us and the client.  Flexibility.
